A report from recruitment firm Badenoch & Clark has revealed a 15% increase in the number of permanent HR created roles in London.

It spoke to HR professionals and looked at recruitment trends in London, the Midlands and the East of England.
It found the areas with the most in demand skills were:
- Rewards
- Benefits
- Employee relations
- Compensation
Matt Gascoigne, executive director at Badenoch & Clark, said there is growing concern amongst HR managers about employee retention.
There is also evidence of a surge in demand for skilled workers. Gascoigne said: "Demand for talent is on the increase as organisations must look to hold onto key staff and top performers."
He added that companies in the Midlands are looking to recruit reliable individuals who support the delivery of long-term strategic business objectives.
Improving economy at the heart of hiring rush
Gascoigne said recent improvements to the British economy the seen more business growth across London, resulting in more investment in staff and training.
He said human resources staff are now not just seen as useful within their specialism, but are now used widely across entire departments – resulting in improved salaries, making it a more attractive career choice for high calibre professionals.
